Thanks from General Store

Went to visit the General Store in Mansfield Center,Ct. yesterday.
It has a indoor letterbox and we sat down over a sandwich and
counted stamps. In 18 months 227 stamps and many wonderful comments
were added to the log books. Yes it is on its second book already. It
is such a warm friendly location complete with coffee and hot soup.
The folks at the store are very happy hosting the letterbox and often
chuckle as people try to " sneak" it out of its spot.
Started the New Year right Party bear ( not seen frequently)
was willing to accompany me to the Pink Panther series. We had a nice
walk in the light rain. Great escape had aquired some water but
contents werte dry in bag. I dried the box out with my mittens and
returned it to its spot. Thanks for a fun series a perfect quick one
before the next storm. Leader of the Pack

oops both Bluebird and I thought the other was reporting that The Great Escape box had in truth escaped. It was not in it hiding spot, although the 'covers' were there. I almost stepped on it covered by snow  about 4 feet from the tree.!  We tried to get all the ice and snow cleaned off and so Happy that Leader of the Pack came after us to pat it dry when the ice melted. Thanks.
